Join our People's AI Panel on Health & Care

Join us on Saturday 16 August in Glasgow to explore how Artificial Intelligence technologies are being used in health & care.

We're inviting members of the public to join us for a day of discovery, discussion and debate, where we'll explore how Artificial Intelligence technologies can be used in a trustworthy, ethical & inclusive way in health & care.

No prior knowledge is needed. We'll provide a full wrap-around AI literacy experience, breaking down what we mean when we say AI, how AI technologies work, how different AI technologies are currently being used in health & care, and how they might be used in the future.

We want to amplify public voices in conversations around AI, and as a Panel Member, you will have the opportunity to shape priorities around AI in health & care. We hope you can join!

How To Get Involved

To take part, the first step is completing the form below. It should take no longer than 5-10 minutes to complete.
The deadline for applications is 9am, Monday 28 July, with selected participants contacted by Wed 30 July.

We’re looking for people who are curious and ready to share their views.

As a People’s Panel Member, you’ll help shape priorities around AI in health and care, with your voice, opinions and experiences forming an important part of future reports on AI in Health & Care from the Scottish AI Alliance, and helping to shape future wider engagement on the issue.

We're looking for:

  • A day of your time – Saturday 16 August, 9am–5pm (in-person, central Glasgow)

  • Your insights & opinions – No AI or health & care expertise needed, just your perspective

  • Participation in pre/post-event digital sessions – Various times available

What To Expect

The day will be hosted by the Scottish AI Alliance, and feature a combination of discussions over cups of tea, short presentations and debating the answers to interesting questions about the use of AI in health & care settings. You will be joining members of our pre-existing Community Advisory Group and various experts working on issues around AI in health & care.

Notetakers and facilitators will capture these discussions, and what you think about issues will help us understand public perspectives on key issues.

Participants will find out about, and let us know what they think about, innovative uses of AI within health & care. We will explore what participants think and feel about different uses, especially when it comes to issues of trust, ethics and inclusion.

If you would like to take part and share your experiences, we would love to have you!

  • Take part in facilitated discussions & workshops throughout the day

  • Have your voice heard on AI in health & care

  • Travel & accommodation provided (if needed)

  • A £150 contribution fee (alternative options available)
