Sam is the COO and Head of Data at Effini, an innovative data solutions company solving business problem using data and AI.  

With over 25 years’ experience in software engineering and data analytics, delivering high-performance data systems, her goal is to bring practical, effective solutions to organisations, whatever size or stage of their data journey they’re at.  

Sam is passionate about inclusivity and diversity within the technology sector. She is one half of the Girl Geek Scotland leadership team, and also co-organises the Edinburgh chapter of PyData, a global community for developers and users of open source data tools for analytics and AI , including Python and R to share ideas and experiences.
